Why you may need to change your browser's settings:
If you have ever told
a web page to remember your user name and password for logging in to a
website, your
browser may be automatically entering an incorrect password when you try
to log in to our password protected site. For example, if you
stored your password for your eBay account, then went to a password
protected site on our web server, it would pass the wrong
username/ password info and give you an "access denied" message.
To clear the automatic
password feature:
1.
Select “Tools” from the Internet Explorer menu bar
2.
Select “Internet Options” from the Tools menu
3.
Select the “Content” tab on the Internet Options screen
4.
On the bottom half of the Content tab under “Personal
Information” click the button labeled “AutoComplete . . ”. A window
labeled “AutoComplete Settings” appears
5.
On the AutoComplete Settings screen, click the button
labeled “Clear Passwords”. Also make sure the checkbox that says use
AutoComplete for user names and passwords on forms is turned OFF (not
checked).
6.
Click "OK" on the AutoComplete Settings screen to accept the changes.
7.
Click "OK" on the Internet Options/Content screen to accept the changes.
