Welcome to DWC!

This student handbook is designed and organized to provide you with information we believe will be helpful to you during your time at DWC. We are a small campus and believe that when our students become actively engaged in campus life – as members and leaders of student clubs, as student athletes, as community volunteers, as performers, as tutors, and as participants and audiences—they get the most out of their college experience at DWC. Students often tell me that this involvement in campus life is what makes their time spent here at DWC so special, that they can see how their contribution impacts day-to-day life as well as the educational opportunities for all students.

In line with the mission of our College, to educate purposeful men and women for professional life in their chosen fields, Student Affairs and the Dean of Students Office encourages students to take responsibility for their own actions. And, through this philosophy offers guidance and opportunities for students to grown in their respect for themselves and others. This office, specifically the Residential Life and Campus Activities staff, offers opportunities for students for learning outside of the classroom, through activities, trips, and residential programs. It is our hope that through our efforts you will come to be a strong and contributing member of our community.

We hope that you find this handbook helpful and will drop in to our office to introduce yourself, find out about our activities, find a job, or sign up for a trip or a concert. Please feel free to contact me personally if you have any questions or concerns that I can assist you with as you embark or continue your education here at Daniel Webster College.

Yours Truly,

Susan Elsass, Dean of Students
